I love your place so much that I hesitate to share it with my friends and rather keep it as my secret solo destination! Fantastic! Great team, lovely people! Will definitely book room 32 again soon! Big love from Geneva

Lunch and Beach
We just visited for the day but would love to stay at Tara's Lodge at some stage. We had a delicious lunch, fresh, great flavours and well presented. The
staff were friendly and helpful and we had the happiest day on their beach, enjoying the view and hospitality. What a little gem and so beautifully
designed and finished.

Charming boutique Hotel
We stayed 3 nights at Tara's Lodge and had a room with a lovely seaview. Rooms and facilities offer a modern and stylish interior.
Breakfast and restaurant were absolutely delicious! All in all we had a perfect stay at Tara's Lodge!

Hidden and understated restaurant
My wife and I ate here on 10 and 11 May as we were staying in the attached hotel. To be honest, we weren't expecting too much as it looks more like a beach bar which sells burgers etc. But we were absolutely blown away by the meal we had on the first night (Japanese style coleslaw with chicken, Black risotto with freshly caught squid, and deconstructed banoffee pie to name the highlights). The food was of a very high quality! The waiter was a wee bit inexperienced but had a charm and the wine list was a wee bit restricted but included some really nice wines nonetheless. The cocktail waiter was superb and matched the quality of meal. Spoke with restaurant manager/owner after the meal who happily told us where all the ingredients were sourced from - he's very passionate about food! - which added to the whole experience. In sum, a hidden and understated and surprisingly good restaurant.

5 Star Boutique Hotel
Tara's lodge is an absolutely fantastic hotel with fantastic staff, views, food and rooms. Every aspect of our stay was superb. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to others looking for a place to relax in peaceful beautiful surroundings with friendly staff, delicious drinks and food. The pool and beach-front are perfect for relaxing or being active (paddle boards, kayaks, etc.).

Just returned from three perfect days at Tara's.Totally relaxing experience.
Simple, white, stylish room, great shower and sliding glass doors which opened the room up to a stunning view across the bay [we had room 21]
Superb staff- the standard set at check in with a chilled glass of wine.Everyone was very friendly and attentive whilst creating the most relaxed atmosphere.
Loved the quality breakfasts and the beanbag sun beds on the small private beach.
Beautiful location and really easy to walk or cycle in to Korcula town.
No hesitation in recommending!

Worth the trip away from the old town
A lovely spot for lunch or evening meal. The restaurant is sat in a lovely small bay, very peaceful. The food here was excellent, and the chef will explain
exactly how he has cooked everything. We had the chicken with lemon and olives which was lovely, and if you have a sweet tooth you wont be disappointed.
All the people working there were very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended.

All we could ask for. Excellent service, lovely rooms and superb (and non-pricy!) dinners at Mimi's! Also the view from our room was INCREDIBLE :). Many thanks to the straff for making us feel completely at Home.

Fresh food, homemade and tasty!
When we arrive the first night, we had the chance to have a tasting menu and it was fantastic: Sea bass ceviche + Tuna tartare + pork. Also, we had probably one of the best burger we ever had (go try it!), we tasted an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. risotto (Sea Bream + Squid ink risotto) and had succulent fresh breakfast every morning. The staff is really gentle, the wine is amazingly good and the atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a relaxing evening with a fabulous view. You're a local: go try it! You're a tourist: put this place on your bucket list.

We ate at Mimi's Bistro quite few times over the summer and it's hands down the best food on the island! Although we have not stayed at the hotel itself the location and overall design are first class and more than a match for any boutique hotel not only in Croatia , but in Europe too. Likewise service was fantastic!

We made a point of slotting this place into our sailing schedule as a result of one of my friends meeting the owner on the flight over - and we were very glad we did. As we came into the little bay it was awesomely beautiful, totally protected from the wind, and with a few boats bobbing around. We moored up and had a delicious lunch there. later in the day we got a taxi into Korcula which is 10 mins away.
The setting of Tara's in perfect. The restaurant and hotel is stylish and immaculate (we did have a look at the bedrooms). The staff superb. If I got back to Croatia I would love to stay at this place and would thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel -- perfect for our honeymoon
My wife and I spent 4 days of our honeymoon at the beautiful little Oasis that is Tara's lodge. Not only is the hotel located in a pristine private bay with a unbelievable view, but the Tara's lodge staff went above and beyond in all respects to make our stay unforgettable. Mike picked us up from the port and drove us around the island, pointing out some of the more pictuaresque stops and giving us some history of Korcula. Upon checking in we were able to relax in a spacious, modern and luxurious room with a balcony offering a great view of the sea. The king-sized bed was actually king-sized (not merely two twin beds pushed together) and was quite comfortable. The food we ate at Mimi's restaurant was far and away the best cuisine we tasted in our 2 weeks in Croatia. Darko, a staff member and gracious host, not only served us delicious made-to-order breakfast each morning but also helped us plan our activities in Korcula. It is difficult to emphasize enough how wonderful this establishment is. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Fresh and modern accommodation
Excellent new accommodation on Korcula. It is situated about 30 min walk out of the Old Town in a beautiful seaside location. The staff and owner are keen to please and will organise any activity you desire. The restaurant provides a good breakfast and drinks at sundown.

Loved the location and the hotel. They could not do enough to help us and make our stay fantastic. We ate in the restaurant and the staff were great and the food top notch. If you want somewhere smart and modern to stay then this is the place. The owners have a great eye in the design and feel for the hotel. Room Tip: out of the way but close enough to Korcula town (20 min walk).

Paradise in Korcula!
Tara's Lodge is a little slice of heaven - perfectly situated on a secluded bay with calm, crystalline waters. We stayed here for 3 nights from August 24-27, 2015 (two couples in their early 30s) and loved the intimate feeling of the hotel. It has 12 rooms and ours had a great view of the bay. It is a 10-15 min drive to Korcula Town but we actually never ended up going into town, we were having too much fun relaxing at Tara's Lodge with our friends (they have paddle boards, bikes, etc.) The owners, Mike and Dennis were extremely friendly and hospitable as was the rest of the staff. They extended breakfast hours for us when we were late and the owners even took us on a snorkeling tour, a very unique one where we got to watch Mike catch octopus with his bare hands. Their dinner recommendations were amazing - we ate at the hotel the first night and the food was excellent. NIghts 2 and 3, we wanted to try something new and their recommendations did not disappoint - some of the best food I had in Croatia! If you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy upscale, boutique hotels, this is the place for you! Would love to go back someday! Room Tip: Room 30 had a great view!

Tara's Lodge is everything we look for while on holiday - beautiful location, specious clean and comfortable rooms, helpful staff, great food. - this place has it all. But what makes it unique and a cut above the rest are the owners and staff - the moment we 'landed' at the lodge we were personally welcomed, and from then on - had a feeling that all our needs are being taken care of without ever feeling that we are being intruded. The owners are there on site - work and eat with the guests - so you feel that you are part of a big family. The previous reviewer mentioned this in a negative way - really think he missed the idea. If you want impersonal - it's not the place for you. They took us on a boat trip to dive for octopi, and we got both an experience and a guided tour by people that are local and have deep understanding of the place - Dennis and Mike - you are stars! You need to experience the beauty of the surrounding area of Tara's Lodge to understand the unique experience while staying there. It's simply breath taking. We took a bike ride to one of the sandy beaches on the island, and while it was a nice ride, and nice villages - at the end, we turned around and went back to swim at the cove just beside the lodge. Food is expensive - very expensive, but it's also very good, and sourced locally. We continued our holiday and now in a one of the best hotel in Split (not to mention names...), while a great place in itself, we found ourselves wanting to go back to Tara's lodge - this is by far the best complement we can give. Thanks guys - we will be back. Room Tip: The family room is great.

The antidote to crowded August beaches
Our family of four (twin 15yo boys plus parents) stumbled upon this restaurant somewhat by accident after a beautiful if very crowded day at Zitna Beach on Korcula. The restaurant is situated waterside in a small, lovely, serene cove on the north side of the island, a short drive or taxi ride from Korcula town.
We have spent a good bit of time on St. Barths and this venue reminded us strongly of some of our favorite lunch venues there, where the experience was a commingling of restaurant, beachside lounge area and beautiful water views to appreciate while having lunch. Notably, unlike the experience of eating in many of the more crowded and well known zones of the island, this restaurant was extraordinarily peaceful and relaxing. I believe you may even be able to arrange to have lunch and spend time at the beach before or after if you call ahead (the beach is also somewhat rocky, as is common here, but the cove in which it is situated is gorgeous and the water is picture perfect).
For food, we had some combination of tuna, octopus, salads, and one of our sons had a burger. We all enjoyed the food, which seemed a welcome bit of lighter and healthier preparation than much of what is common in certain places. Matched with a nice glass of rose, and we would recommend it to anyone interested in a beautiful, low key setting, free of the throngs of tourists common to most places. The service was super attentive, and the owners seemed to take a genuine interest in making sure all of the guests were having their needs met.If you are someone who is seeking massive portions of deep fried junk at the lowest price in the easiest to find spot with tons of people from cruise ships, we do not think this would be a good pick for you. Otherwise, grab a taxi and spend a couple of hours having a healthy and luxurious waterside lunch!

The Mediterranean as it should be
We've been coming to Croatia every summer despite it being Croatia. Mostly because for me, originally coming from Bosnia, Croatia IS equal to summer vacation. Unfortunately the country's famous tagline The Mediterranean as it once was in most cases literally means The Mediterranean as it once was. Poor service, overpriced, with a complete lack of the contemporary or any kind of innovation, only relying on tourists being happy because of the beauty of the nature.
That's why it was so extremely refreshing to visit Mimi's Bistro. The hotel and the restaurant are placed in a sleepy bay called Zrnovska banja. My family and I have spent over 30 summers in that very village and we have a lot of dear friends amongst the locals. Tara's lodge and Mimi's bistro have definitely changed the landscape of the village in a really good way.
Everything, and I really mean everything about this restaurant is how the Mediterranean should be. And it's very different from how most of the restaurants are in this part of the world. It's actually the best restaurant I've ever visited in Croatia. Through the ten days we spent in the bay we tried several things from the menu since we visited the place almost every day, and every single thing was superb.
The black risotto was the best black risotto I've ever had (and trust me - I've had many black risottos in my life). The cheeseburger is fantastic, the american pancakes too, and so on.
The interior/exterior are impeccable and every detail has been thought trough without anything feeling posh. It's simply sleek and smart. And the view is stunning. On top of that - the service. Very kind, polite, motivated and professional staff, excellent in English. It was such a relief to finally find a place where we felt welcomed and seen.

We enjoyed lunch and dinner at Mimi's, the Caesar Salad was great but could not beat the squid ink risotto with fresh cuttlefish. Love the approach by Fernando to use fresh produce from around the area. Such a great atmosphere, thanks to all. We'll be back.
